Privacy Policy

Last updated May 27, 2025

We're Lovelent, based in Los Angeles, California. This Privacy Policy explains what we collect when you visit lovelent.com or use the Lovelent platform, how we use it, and what you can ask us to do with it.

It applies to lovelent.com and any subdomain we run — including the wedding site you build at lovelent.com/your-names.

What we collect

Account info

Your email address, when you join the waitlist or sign in. We use a 6-digit code to sign you in, so we don't collect or store passwords.

Wedding info

Whatever you put into Lovelent — your guest list, RSVPs, seating, meal selections, save-the-date, photos, day-of timeline. This is your data. You own it. We use it solely to run the service for you.

Guest activity

When someone you invited RSVPs through your Lovelent site, we record the RSVP, meal pick, dietary notes, and any message they leave. We share this with you (the host), not with anyone else.

Payment info

When you pay for Lovelent, the transaction goes to our payment processor (Stripe). We see the last four digits of your card and the receipt. We never see or store the full card number.

Technical info

Standard logs: IP address, browser type, pages visited, timestamps. We use this to keep the service stable and secure, not to build a profile of you.

How we use it

  • To run the service you signed up for
  • To send transactional emails (sign-in codes, receipts, account changes)
  • To keep the service stable, secure, and improving
  • To respond when you write to us
  • To comply with the law when we have to

We don't sell your data. We don't show ads. We don't train AI models on your wedding.

Who we share it with

We use a small number of subprocessors to run Lovelent. Each one is bound by a data-processing agreement.

  • Cloudflare — hosting, database, file storage, and transactional email delivery. Your data lives on Cloudflare's network.
  • Stripe — payments. Card data goes from your browser to Stripe; we never touch it.

We don't share your wedding data with anyone outside of these processors unless you ask us to, or unless we have a legal obligation.

Where it lives

Lovelent runs on Cloudflare's global network. Your data is stored in the region nearest to where you signed up. You can request a region transfer or a full export at any time.

How long we keep it

While your account is active, we keep your wedding data. After the wedding, you can:

  • Keep the account at no further cost (it's one-time pricing) to revisit the page
  • Export everything as JSON, CSV, or a static archive
  • Delete the account, which removes the data within 30 days

Backups are retained for up to 30 days for disaster recovery.

Your rights

You can:

  • See what we have on you
  • Export it in a portable format
  • Correct anything that's wrong
  • Delete your account and data
  • Object to certain types of processing
  • Lodge a complaint with your local data authority (we'd rather you write to us first)

To exercise any of these, use ourcontact form and pick "Privacy or data request" from the dropdown. We respond within 30 days.

Children

Lovelent is for adults planning weddings. If you're under 18, please don't use it. If we learn we hold data from a child under 13, we'll delete it.

Cookies

We use a small set of essential cookies. See ourCookie Policy for the full list.

Changes

If we change this policy, we'll update the date at the top. For material changes we'll email you at least 30 days before they take effect.
